This page explains how to set up a rule in Microsoft Outlook to separate your Warthogs emails from other emails you receive.
This rule will direct incoming Warthogs emails to a separate Warthogs folder in your Inbox, keeping your main Inbox free of Hogmail.
The procedure is as follows:

  • Click on "File/New/Folder" and create a new folder called Warthogs

  • Select the Inbox as the place to put the folder and click OK

  • From the "Tools" menu select "Rules Wizard" and click on the "New..." button
  • To set the rule select(highlight) "Check messages when they arrive" and click Next.
  • Tick the box next to the option "sent to people or distribution list." Now click on "people or distribution list" in the lower window.

  • You will be taken to your contacts list where you should select warthogs@warthogs.org.za (Warthogs). You will be taken back to the rules wizard, click Next.
  • Tick the box next to the option "move it to the specified folder" and click on "specified" in the lower window. Now select the folder "Warthogs" from the list provided. and click OK.
  • Click "Finish." The completed rule should look something like this:

    Click "OK"

Now that you have more than one folder making up your Inbox you will need to display your folder list and expand your Inbox so that you can see when you have Hogmail.
Select "Folder List" under menu item "View"

While the procedure in Microsoft Outlook Express is slightly different, you should be able to follow through the process using this procedure.
